ES School Site Council

School Site Councils represent the school community and assist in making decisions about programs and resources. SSCs are required for all schools that receive state or federal categorical funding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA): The SPSA is a strategic plan that outlines goals for improving student achievement. The SSC works with the school leadership team to develop, implement, monitor, and revise the SPSA.
  • Conducting a needs assessment: The SSC analyzes data to identify student needs and areas for improvement.
  • Setting goals: The SSC sets and reviews school goals.
